Remote Grant Writer and Development Officer

Our client is a respected non-profit organization dedicated to (specific mission, e.g., supporting underserved youth, environmental conservation, community health). We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Remote Grant Writer and Development Officer to significantly expand our funding streams. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to our vital mission from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of success in securing grant funding from diverse sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies. You will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and cultivating relationships with donors.

Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential grant funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, government entities, and other philanthropic sources that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals. Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, including letters of inquiry, full proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foundation program officers, corporate social responsibility contacts, and government agency representatives. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information, understand project needs, and articulate program impact effectively. Manage the grant application process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled. Track grant submissions, reporting requirements, and funding outcomes. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including donor cultivation and stewardship activities. Assist in the development of other fundraising materials, such as annual reports, appeals, and donor communications. Analyze grant program outcomes and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external funders. Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant writing, fundraising, and the non-profit sector. Maintain an organized database of funding prospects, grant history, and donor information. Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to the overall development goals of the organization. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-profit Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising for non-profit organizations. Demonstrated success in securing grants from a variety of sources, with a portfolio of successful proposals. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling narratives. Strong research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines. Experience with grant management software and donor databases (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge). Knowledge of non-profit financial management and budgeting principles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders remotely. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools.
