Job Description
ā¢ As a Procurement Analyst, you will be supporting Global Procurement decisions by providing business and market intelligence, management of data and analytics, and tracking / reporting of metrics:
ā¢ Typical internal analyses and tasks include spend analysis and forecasting, savings analysis, supplier information gathering and analysis, pricing and contract analytics, benchmarking, compliance to sourcing strategies
ā¢ External analyses include market, economic and other research data, inflation, productivity, currency, select indexes, and oil pricing
Additionally you will be:
ā¢ Using data visualization tools on complex data sets and interpreting mathematical models such as graphs, tables, metrics and schematics to provide insights to Category teams, Business stakeholders, and leadership
ā¢ . Being a Strategic Business Partner by active and effective interaction and influence of category teams during the Category Management Process from Category Strategy, to Sourcing Execution and Supplier Management, as well as senior business stakeholders
ā¢ Supporting implementation of advanced procurement analytics capabilities including the evaluation and mining of data to the ability to automate processes
ā¢ Utilizing advanced purchase price cost analysis (PPCA) methodologies and tools to determine the "should cost" of the materials and services purchased by . This analysis is performed using internal and external data, including analyzing material composition, manufacturing processes, labor requirements, along with Manufacturing and Corporate overheads/burden, for a total cost to compare and identify savings opportunities.
The successful candidate will have an engineering degree in production management, mechanical, biomedical, or electrical engineering or related fields or hold a bachelor degree in business, economics or accounting/finance. A minimum of one to three years of business experience, with some experience in a production environment, procurement, finance, analytics, research or a related field is expected.
Furthermore, the following skills and experiences are required:
ā¢ Proficiency in data visualization tools, capabilities including advanced Excel skills
ā¢ Knowledge of purchasing principles and practices
ā¢ Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
ā¢ IT systems knowledge including the advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP basic knowledge
ā¢ Ability to multi-task and work effectively for a wide range of internal customers under tight deadlines
ā¢ Ability to present data, business cases and proposals logically
ā¢ Time management and project prioritization skills
ā¢ Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
ā¢ Able to influence in a matrixed environment
ā¢ Drive for results in a continuous improvement culture
Knowledge of financial accounting principles, manufacturing or lab processes, ability to identify and implement improvements using Sigma or other methodologies will be an advantage.
