[Remote] Government Travel Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. shinvestmentsllc is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Government Travel Consultant to support federal agencies with professional travel services. This position plays a key role in ensuring travel arrangements meet government standards while delivering exceptional service. Comprehensive training will be provided to set up for success.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Secure air, car and hotel accommodations for contracted government agencies
ā¢ Ensure that all aspects of booked travel (domestic and international) adhere to all government travel regulations, and validate that a high quality of accommodation and transportation is secured
ā¢ Ensure all queues are maintained throughout the day
ā¢ Initiate cancellation or reservation change processes to their completion, where applicable, to include expedient client agency notification
ā¢ Provide updates, as necessary, to client agencies to ensure their full awareness of information and status relating to the pending travel
ā¢ Conduct routine research of travel industry changes, trends and offerings to ensure they are working with the most up-to-date information when advising client agencies
ā¢ Maintain a professional customer service attitude and demeanor at all times while providing quality service, timely and accurate completion of travel arrangements and recommending value-added services to the client agency
ā¢ Weekend work is required in this role
Skills
ā¢ High School Diploma or GED, with some post-high school education
ā¢ Travel industry experience
ā¢ Proactive approach to systems and processes
ā¢ Working knowledge of WorldSpan and SABRE GDS
ā¢ Written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Customer service skills
ā¢ Positive attitude
ā¢ Weekend work is required in this role
