Remote Chat Moderator Position – Online Platform Support

Progressive Technology is seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Remote Chat Moderators to support our growing online platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring live chats, engaging with users in a professional manner, and ensuring that all interactions comply with platform guidelines and community standards. As a Chat Moderator, you will act as the frontline representative of our online presence, helping to foster respectful conversations while providing timely assistance to users across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor live chat rooms, forums, and messaging platforms in real time

Enforce community guidelines and platform rules consistently and fairly

Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries via chat

Identify, report, and take action on inappropriate or abusive behavior

Escalate complex or sensitive issues to senior moderation or support teams
• *
Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and user interactions
• *
Collaborate with internal teams to improve moderation processes and user experience

Stay updated on platform policies, updates, and best practices
• Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent written communication skills in English
• *
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
• *
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or sensitive situations

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with online chat tools

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Reliable internet connection and a quiet remote working environment
• Experience

Previous experience in chat moderation, customer support, content review, or online community management is preferred

Entry-level candidates with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
