[Remote] Government Solutions Consultant

The Government Solution Consultant partners closely with various teams to address federal and state government clients’ needs around benefit eligibility, promoting and selling solutions from the Equifax product suite while maintaining client relationships throughout the sales cycle.ResponsibilitiesLead customer demonstrations using internal environments and external tools and present technical collateral to customersAssist Sales and Alliance teams in the business development phase to identify opportunities and understand a customer’s current system stateMaintain expertise in market segments including Social Services (SNAP, Medicaid/CHIP, TANF), Child Support, and Unemployment InsuranceMaintain knowledge of competitors' products, including their strengths, weaknesses, and how they promote their solutionsMaintain a deep understanding of product features, functions, inputs/outputs, and supported platforms like API, Batch, and Applicant PortalsWork closely with customers, Sales, and Product teams to define solutions that address the missions of government agenciesProvide technical feasibility assessments for new products to meet customer demand and requirementsServe as the requirements gathering team to define solutions that can be delivered via existing products with minor enhancements or configurations or new product development effortsServe as the liaison between proposal teams, product engineering, and post-sales implementation teamsServe as the initial technical liaison post-award before handing project ownership to the Implementation LeadMaintains professional relationship with customers and ensures successful adoption of productsUses a consultative approach to verify ongoing client successIdentify gaps in offerings related to client requirements and work with product teams to develop plans to close those gapsServe as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs, helping define win themes and discriminators, and producing technical responsesSkills7+ years of experience working with state and federal government agencies specifically around SNAP, Medicaid, or other means-tested social service programsEducation: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience requiredAbility to travel an estimated 50% of the timeAdditional experience in solutions consulting or sales roles preferredExtensive experience with SNAP and/or Medicaid eligibility processesPrior Government or Open Banking experience a plusUnderstanding of technical configurations of state eligibility systems, API implementation, and batch processingExperience in a highly-regulated environmentUnderstanding of data sources that are used in the benefit-eligibility lifecycleAbility to influence within a matrixed organizationExperience working in cross-functional teamsConsultative and engaging/dynamic presentation experienceBenefitsComprehensive compensation and healthcare packages401k matchingPaid time offOrganizational growth potential through our online learning platform with guided career tracksCompany OverviewEquifax is a data, analytics, and technology company for automotive, healthcare, and insurance industries.
