[Remote] GIS Developer / Application Engineer

They are seeking a GIS Developer / Application Engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise geospatial applications in a remote capacity, working with various stakeholders to create innovative geospatial solutions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, and maintain enterprise geospatial applications and servicesDesign and develop web-based GIS applications, dashboards, workflows, and APIsSupport implementation and maintenance of ArcGIS Enterprise environments and geospatial web servicesDevelop applications supporting geospatial visualization, analysis, and data management activitiesIntegrate GIS applications with enterprise systems, data platforms, and business applicationsSupport migration and modernization efforts involving cloud-based geospatial solutionsDevelop and maintain application documentation, technical specifications, and user guidesParticipate in testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and deployment activitiesSupport development, testing, production, and operations and maintenance (O&M) environmentsCollaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical solutionsSupport implementation of cybersecurity, role-based access, and privacy requirements within applicationsAssist with user support, training, and issue resolution activitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of specialized experience developing GIS applications or geospatial software solutionsExperience developing web applications, APIs, workflows, or dashboardsExperience working with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, or related Esri technologiesProficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, or similar technologiesExperience supporting geospatial data management and GIS workflowsExperience troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining enterprise applicationsKnowledge of web services, APIs, and application integration principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience developing applications using ArcGIS APIs and SDKsExperience supporting ArcGIS GeoEvent ServerExperience with cloud-native application developmentExperience supporting Kubernetes-based environmentsExperience with GIS dashboards, analytics, and visualization toolsExperience supporting federal government geospatial programsExperience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, or automated deployment processesEsri technical certificationsBenefitsCompetitive payComprehensive health coverageFlexible PTOFederal holidays offTuition reimbursementProfessional development supportWellness stipendsA culture that values and rewards hard work, dedication, and adaptabilityCompany OverviewFor nearly 20 years, Ardent has served this country by delivering award-winning security and defense technology solutions.
