About the Role: We are establishing a Data Management function to improve how data is defined, governed, and trusted across the organization. The Senior Data Management Analyst will help coordinate and operationalize data management initiatives across business, analytics, and engineering teams. This role will act as a central facilitator for data governance and metadata initiatives, ensuring alignment on data definitions, ownership, and standards. The position will primarily coordinate governance processes while also contributing hands-on when needed to support metadata documentation, governance tool adoption, and data management workflows. What you will be doing: Governance Coordination Coordinate and facilitate data management initiatives across business, analytics, and engineering teams Support the establishment of data ownership and stewardship frameworks Track governance initiatives, action items, and adoption progress Metadata & Documentation Coordinate updates and assist in maintaining the business glossary, data catalog entries, and dataset documentation in collaboration with data owners and domain experts Support documentation of dataset definitions, lineage, and ownership Master Data Support Assist in defining governance practices for core entities such as Customer, Account, and Product Coordinate with system owners to improve consistency across systems Enablement & Adoption Organize governance workshops and working sessions with stakeholders. Develop documentation and governance playbooks Assist in promoting adoption of data management tools and practices across teams Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to improve metadata documentation, governance workflows, and operational efficiency What you will bring to the role: Bachelorâs and/or Masters Degree in related field 4â7 years of experience in data governance, analytics, data management, or related roles Experience working with metadata management, data catalogs, or governance initiatives Familiarity with metadata management, lineage, and data catalog concepts Experience working with cross-functional teams to operationalize metadata management, business glossary, or data governance processes Understanding of data warehouses, BI platforms, and reporting workflows Basic SQL skills to support data validation and analysis when needed Strong coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills Additional/Bonus Experience: Experience with Collate, Open Metadata, Snowflake, Power BI, or modern analytics platforms Experience leveraging AI tools or automation frameworks to improve data documentation, metadata enrichment, or operational workflows Success Metrics Business glossary and dataset documentation maintained and adopted across teams Governance initiatives progressing across key data domains Improved visibility into data ownership and lineage Increased efficiency in documentation and governance workflows through automation and AI-enabled processes Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity We hire, promote, and compensate employees based on their ability to perform their job responsibilities, without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender, marital status, national origin, ancestry, age, citizenship, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or any other basis protected by applicable law (collectively referred to in our Code of Conduct as âProtected Classesâ).
