VetsEZ is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Developer to support the modernization and sustainment of enterprise applications within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) environment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and cloud-hosted web applications that support critical healthcare and operational systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using .NET (Framework and/or .NET Core), ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSSBuild responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces aligned with Section 508 standardsDevelop and maintain backend services and APIs to support application functionality and integrationsWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code using established coding standards and best practicesPerform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across environmentsDevelop and execute unit tests and support automated testing effortsCollaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira and Confluence for task tracking, documentation, and knowledge sharingParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectivesContribute to system documentation, including technical designs and implementation detailsSupport deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities in cloud environments (Azure preferred)Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve code quality, development speed, and problem-solvingIntegrate AI capabilities into applications where appropriate (e.g., AI APIs, NLP services, automation features)Utilize AI-driven tools to enhance testing, including test case generation, code analysis, and defect detectionApply prompt engineering and structured AI usage to support development workflows and documentationEvaluate and recommend AI tools, frameworks, or services that improve team productivity and software qualityEnsure responsible and secure use of AI in compliance with enterprise and federal guidelinesSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of professional full-stack development experienceStrong proficiency in: NET Framework and/or .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, MS SQL Server developmentExperience with debugging, unit testing, and delivering production-quality codeExperience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)Understanding of secure coding practicesU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceExperience integrating AI capabilities into applications (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Azure AI services, or similar frameworks)Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and toolingExperience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Azure services (App Services, Key Vault, Application Insights)Experience with Windows Server environmentsFamiliarity with VA systems or federal healthcare environmentsExposure to DevSecOps practices and infrastructure-as-codeBenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision401k with MatchingCorporate LaptopPTO + Federal HolidaysTraining opportunitiesRemote opportunityCompany OverviewVetsEZ provides IT services & solutions such as data solutions, software solutions, PMO, and competitive edge solutions.
