[Remote] FP&A Analyst

The FP&A Analyst will support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, contributing to budgeting cycles and developing financial models to deliver actionable insights.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze historical and current financial data to assess performance and understand key business driversMonitor actual results against budget and forecast, identifying and explaining key variances and trendsSupport monthly and quarterly forecasting processes, including data collection, validation, and consolidationBuild, maintain, and enhance financial models to support forecasting and business decision-makingPrepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and presentations for management reviewAssist in the development, tracking, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarksAnalyze financial and operational processes to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvementSupport operating and capital expenditure tracking and related financial reportingWork with financial systems, databases, and data warehouses to extract, validate, and transform dataPartner with senior FP&A team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support planning and analysis initiativesContribute to the continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and planning toolsSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related fieldStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT)Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and key performance driversExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activitiesAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and presentation developmentAbility to work with large datasets and perform detailed analytical reviewsDetail-oriented, dependable, and proactive in identifying issues and recommending solutionsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain analyses and resultsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProgress toward CFA, CPA, or an advanced degree1-3 years of financial analysis experience; strong entry-level candidates will be consideredProperty & casualty insurance experienceFamiliarity with financial systems and planning tools; Workday and Adaptive Planning experienceExperience supporting state expansion or regulatory-driven initiatives in the property & casualty insurance industryCompany OverviewAspire General Insurance Company is a California-domiciled, private passenger auto liability and physical damage carrier with combined management experience of over 100 years, servicing the needs of its customers.
