[Remote] Ford BIW Robotics Start-Up Engineer - NB
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. State Group Automation is a leading provider of turnkey automation solutions, specializing in advanced robotic systems. They are seeking a Controls Engineer with specific Ford BIW Start-Up Experience to work on high-impact projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Promote and comply with all safety standards
ā¢ Collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders
ā¢ Support electrical and software design as needed
ā¢ Configure interference zones, I/O, and vision systems
ā¢ Perform robot setup including mastering, TCP, payload, and offline programs
ā¢ Troubleshoot and debug PLCs in coordination with the Controls Engineer
ā¢ Optimize cycle times and improve throughput
ā¢ Work with Fanuc robots (required); experience with ABB, KUKA, Kawasaki, and Nachi is an asset
ā¢ Apply experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing
ā¢ Utilize Fanuc DCS building tool models and confirm adequate setup per customer standards
Skills
ā¢ 2ā5 years of experience as a Ford BIW Robotics Start-Up Engineer
ā¢ Must Have experience in the automotive Ford standards (Next Gen/GVOSS)
ā¢ Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field
ā¢ Extensive commissioning experience in automotive body shop environment
ā¢ Ability to travel to customer sites across North America and Canada
ā¢ Valid passport and driver's license
ā¢ Eligibility for a TN Visa
ā¢ Experience with Fanuc robots
ā¢ Experience with ABB, KUKA, Kawasaki, and Nachi
ā¢ Experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing
