[Remote] Financial Reporting Manager

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, while ensuring high-quality reporting and strong internal controls.ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAPLead the preparation of monthly management financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash FlowLead and enhance the financial close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completenessCoach a team of senior accountants, driving accountability, ownership, and professional growthReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and complianceEstablish and maintain internal controls over financial reportingPartner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, tax, operations, HR, Sales and Marketing, Legal) and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingLead global consolidation processes across multiple business units and legal entitiesOversee foreign currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation adjustmentsEnsure consistency and accuracy across all reporting entitiesMaintain and enhance consolidation processes and supporting documentationIdentify and participate in new system implementation, process improvements and automation opportunitiesPrepare monthly balance sheet review for CFOPrepare reporting packages by entityEnsure compliance with evolving U.S. GAAP standards, local statutory reporting requirements, conduct independent accounting research on new and unusual business transactions and help implement global accounting policiesSupport external audits and act as a primary liaison with auditorsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA requiredMinimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting5+ years in a leadership or managerial capacityStrong proficiency in US GAAPFinancial statement preparationForeign currency translationMulti-entity eliminations and consolidationProject managementExpertise with ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and consolidation toolsAdvanced Excel skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-orientedAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong leadership capabilitiesExperience in a global manufacturing industryPublic accounting experienceExperience with SAP and global consolidationsBenefitsWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.Company OverviewAgroFresh is a food production company that offers the horticultural technology.
