[Remote] Financial Modeling & Valuation Specialist – High-Impact Remote Role

The UVA VEC is inviting experienced financial modeling professionals to join an actively growing project supporting major investment and strategic decision-making at a large global organization. This part-time, remote role involves applying deep expertise in valuation, deal modeling, and complex transaction analysis across a range of real-world scenarios. Responsibilities • Build and maintain integrated 3-statement models, operating models, and cash flow projections • Lead valuation work including DCF (WACC build), trading comps, and precedent transactions • Develop deal models such as LBOs, M&A, and accretion/dilution analyses • Create industry-specific and bespoke models (sale-leasebacks, REIT conversions, NAV, carve-outs) • Conduct advanced due diligence including unit economics and cohort analysis • Clearly communicate model assumptions, outputs, and implications to senior audiences Skills • Proven experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, growth equity, or strategic finance • Expert command of financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail • Clear written and verbal communication ability • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a remote, high-performance environment Benefits • Weekly payments via standard contractor payout systems Company Overview • UVA VEC empowers small businesses and startups with digital strategies to build their brands and grow both locally and globally.
