The Financial Educator role involves consulting with patients about their financial options, performing benefit verifications, and maintaining patient accounts while providing ongoing financial education throughout their care journey.ResponsibilitiesConsult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage and financial optionsPerform aspects of benefit verification and prior authorizationProvide ongoing financial education and assistance to our patients throughout the continuum of their care, as an educator, advocate, and liaisonMaintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance informationSkillsMinimum 2 to 4 years of medical business office experience, with working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interactionMust have experience reading and understanding payer remittance advice.
