[Remote] Financial Controller

They are seeking a Financial Controller who will manage the full financial function, including fund accounting, reporting, compliance, and treasury, while building strong relationships with clients and third-party partners.ResponsibilitiesOwn the Management Company accounting function, including close process, allocations, and timely investor and banking reportingOversee fund accounting, NAV calculations, and investor allocations; manage relationships with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisorsPrepare and review financial statements, K-1s, and quarterly investor reports; ensure compliance with SEC, IRS, and applicable regulatory requirementsLead cash flow forecasting, capital calls, distributions, and liquidity managementCoordinate with tax advisors on fund and management company tax structures; support audits and investor due diligenceEstablish and maintain internal controls, operational risk frameworks, and SOPs; partner with legal on fund structuring and compliance mattersSkills7+ years of progressive experience in asset management finance, with hedge fund or private equity exposure requiredStrong technical foundation across fund accounting, financial reporting, and management company operationsWorking knowledge of GAAP, partnership tax reporting, carried interest, and SEC/IRS complianceProficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Sage, and/or ADP; comfort across accounting and ERP systemsClear, confident communicator with the ability to present to investors and senior leadershipCPA preferred; entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate independently across multiple engagements requiredCPA preferredCompany OverviewFor over 50 years, TBG has stood as a leader in the staffing and recruiting industry.
