[Remote] Field Service Engineer - Southeastern

They are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will work remotely and travel to customer locations to provide maintenance, repairs, installations, and training on analytical and metallographic instrumentation.ResponsibilitiesProvide preventive/general maintenance, breakdown repair, troubleshooting and corrective actions to analytical and metallographic instrumentationPerform new instrumentation installations as well as updates and upgrade kit installationsProvide training on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practicesEnsure the work above is performed in accordance with LECOβs ISO accreditationSkillsSelf-motivated with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)Adhere to customer's site and safety requirements while conducting yourself in a professional mannerDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsAttend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a period of 3-5 monthsComplete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the countryAttend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, MichiganAbility to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week (Monday β Friday)Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving recordPass a background check and substance abuse screeningsMust be authorized to work in the US without restrictionShould have a personal credit card, or the ability to obtain oneStrong mechanical skills, and previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or the ability to learnChemistry or military background is advantageous, but not requiredOne or more of the following: Two Year Technical Degree or Trade School, Prior Military with training in a technical field, Equivalent work experience or training in a technical fieldBenefitsFull Time: Remote, salaried position with travelThis position offers a $5,000 signing bonus.Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a period of 3-5 monthsComplete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the countryAttend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, MichiganCompany OverviewLaboratory Equipment Company introduced the first rapid carbon determinator for the American iron and steel industry.
