[Remote] Field Sales Representative

The role involves managing the full sales cycle, educating customers on software solutions, and building strong relationships to drive business growth.ResponsibilitiesEducate prospective customers in your assigned territory on how Houzz’s software accelerates growth, improves efficiency, and supports long-term business successManage the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, conduct discovery calls, deliver product demos, and close dealsProactively generate outbound leads and build strong relationships with potential customersApply consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and position Houzz as a strategic solutionPartner with SMB and mid-market businesses to assess fit and drive valueConsistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets by acquiring new customersUse market research, competitive insights, and outreach strategies to uncover new business opportunitiesMaintain and grow a personal book of business in the home design and construction industryStreamline the sales process by independently approving discounts and structuring dealsWork with Marketing & Product teams to execute sales strategies, enhance messaging, and improve business operationsProvide feedback to leadership on sales tools, messaging, and processes to improve team performanceImplement management policies, operating practices, and mentor fellow sales reps, providing guidance and feedback on successful sales strategiesFormulate and participate in A/B tests & roundtablesAdapt to evolving priorities and shape policies that contribute to the team’s successAct as a local market expert for professionals in your assigned territory, regularly conducting in-person discovery meetings, demos, and executive presentationsAttend and participate in trade shows, networking events, and travel for in-person meetingsSupport marketing campaigns with the Field Marketing team in your marketSkillsYou must be a permanent resident in one of the following states: CAAt least 1.5 to 3 years of relevant full-cycle sales experience, with experience in field salesOutbound cold-calling experienceHave the desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful in salesHave a positive outlook and a strong ability to take responsibility for their successes and failuresHave proven consultative selling and closing skillsHave a sharp focus on your goals and a belief that their daily, weekly, and monthly activities will help achieve themManage a pipeline of primarily outbound prospects (about 80%) as well as inbound leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential buyersAre a continuous learner who is proactive in uncovering their skill gaps and proactive in strengthening skill levelFocus on selling software is preferred.
