[Remote] Fall 2026 Legal Intern, Reproductive Freedom Project
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The ACLU is seeking a Fall Legal Intern for the Reproductive Freedom Project at their National office in New York City. This internship offers law students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in litigation, policy advocacy, and communications campaigns, focusing on reproductive rights and justice.ResponsibilitiesConducting legal research and analysisAiding in drafting memoranda, motions, declarations, and legal pleadingsProviding general assistance on active litigation, including cite-checkingSupporting development of new litigation projectsAdditional responsibilities could include working on fact development, conducting background research, or tracking and analyzing billsSkillsCurrently matriculated legal studentsBased in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internshipCompleted at least one year of law school before the internship commencesExcellent legal research and writing skillsAbility to conduct complex legal analysisStrong oral communications skillsAbility to explain complicated legal issuesAbility to balance multiple assignmentsAbility to communicate with colleaguesAbility to accept and incorporate feedbackCollaborative attitudeDemonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil rights and liberties, and social justiceDemonstrated commitment to reproductive health rights and justiceCompany OverviewThe ACLU is an non-profit, non-partisan organization of people who believe in the power of action.
