In this role, you will support and execute buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, focusing on the CFO agenda and the Finance function, while collaborating with client service teams to develop transaction strategies.ResponsibilitiesSupporting and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactionsFocusing on the CFO agenda and the Finance functionAssist with the execution of projects across sectorsCollaborating with client service teams to develop and execute transaction strategiesDeveloping experience across different types of engagementsRanging from pre-deal operational planning to post-deal integration or separation planningExecution, and trackingHaving a strong commercial mind-setBe part of project teams comprising colleagues from across EY and/or lead specific workstreamsTrack project status and manage risksWork in a fast-paced, exciting environment with strong business acumen to drive value to our clientsAssist in aspects of pursuits and proposal developmentContribute to our practice development initiativesSupporting the continued focus on our team as a great place to workLearn and develop technical and personal skills through a blend of structured learning, coaching and experiencesCultivate strong working relationships with clients and provide support to key decision makersSkillsA bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experiencePrior experience in consulting, Corporate Finance, or M&A advisoryPractical knowledge of and experience in the Finance functionManagement consulting experienceExperience in one or more of Finance areas (e.g., accounting, financial reporting, planning and budgeting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, etc.)Knowledge of or experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos and/or other common systemsExperience in financial process benchmarking, operating model, finance organization design, synergies, transition service agreements (TSA)Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis with strong presentation skillsAbility to prioritize effectively on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges and conceptsStrong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externallyExcellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insightsKnowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft CopilotYou must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this positionThe ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
