[Remote] E-Commerce Marketplace & Website Manager

Makesy is the industry’s leading platform for DIY home fragrance, personal care, and lifestyle creation, and they are seeking a highly organized and data-driven E-Commerce Marketplace & Website Manager to oversee their online retail channels. This role involves managing marketplace accounts and the Makesy.com website, focusing on merchandising, conversion rate optimization, and performance improvements to drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience. Responsibilities • Manage daily merchandising on Makesy.com and sub-brand Shopify sites • Update product pages, collections, landing pages, banners, blogs, and homepage features • Implement CRO tactics to improve site conversion, retention, and AOV • Collaborate with creative teams to develop on-site content that aligns with launches and promotions • Oversee functionality across apps, plugins, integrations, and Shopify theme elements • Monitor and analyze site performance using GA4, heatmaps, and other analytics tools • Optimize site speed, navigation, checkout flow, and mobile responsiveness • Support the execution of product launches, campaigns, and sales • Own daily management of all marketplace accounts and listings • Create, optimize, and maintain product titles, descriptions, keywords, photography, variations, A+ content, and brand pages • Manage third-party marketplace ad spend - bolthires,, Etsy, bolthires, etc. and marketplace-specific advertising tools • Build and execute marketplace growth strategies to drive traffic, conversion, and revenue • Monitor inventory levels, pricing, MAP compliance, and promotions • Analyze competitor activity and marketplace trends to maintain a leading edge • Track and respond to customer reviews, messages, and seller performance scorecards • Ensure each marketplace maintains a high rating, strong customer satisfaction, and compliance with platform rules • Develop and implement launch plans for new products across all marketplaces • Report weekly on KPIs, including revenue, ROAS, conversion rate, traffic, ad spend, margins, and ranking performance Skills • 3–5+ years managing e-commerce marketplaces • Strong understanding of marketplace SEO, advertising platforms, and product optimization • Proven experience driving revenue growth on bolthires, Etsy, Faire, bolthires, or similar channels • 3-5+ years hands-on skills with Shopify site management (required) • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets, reporting tools, and marketplace dashboards • Exceptional attention to detail and project management capabilities • Strong copywriting and merchandising skills • Ability to work cross-functionally with creative, operations, and marketing teams • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Experience in beauty, fragrance, craft, or consumer goods categories • Familiarity with Makesy products or the maker/DIY community • Experience with wholesale platforms like Faire and Michaels • Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO) • Experience launching new brands or managing multi-brand ecosystems Benefits • Group Dental & Vision • Company stock options • 401k plan Company Overview • World's largest supplier & community for elevated, innovative & creative makers.
