They are seeking a Director for Transaction Advisory Services and Financial Due Diligence who will lead the financial due diligence process and manage client relationships, ensuring high-quality advisory services tailored to client needs.ResponsibilitiesLeads the end-to-end project management, work plan development, process, and project execution. Manages client team to deliver project goals in a timely and resource efficient manner. Effectively communicate across all stakeholders. Drive optimal outcomes for all stakeholders, while meeting and/or exceeding client expectationsIndependently manage due diligence, quality of earnings, and other transaction advisory related services to support Embarc clients that are looking at growing through acquisitions or preparing for saleDevelops and prepares audience-appropriate materials, including quality of earnings databooks and financial due diligence reports etcAnalyzes financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with managementCultivates and maintains strong relationships with client leadership and key staff. Identify opportunities where Embarc's financial and strategic services (e.g., capital raising, M&A, and strategic finance) may accelerate the client's strategic plan and align with their key business objectives. Acts as a thought leader and trusted advisor to client's key leadershipSpearheads complex strategic analysis, quantitative analysis, and robust financial modeling to produce meaningful insights that address clients' challenges and needsTranslates complex strategic and financial analysis into insightful reports, key take-aways, and presentations for clients and key stakeholders which facilitate robust discussions, provide quantification and articulation of financial and strategic impact, and support the decision-making processIdentifies post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvementsEvaluates effects of seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirementsPerforms industry and company research to keep Embarc and its' clients informed of any market insightsCreates and designs tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, financial reporting, working capital trends, and indebtedness considerationsLeads the cross-functional management of projects from end to end; communicates recommendations and drives outcomes with various stakeholdersOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's Degree7+ years of experience within a mid to large sized professional services firm (Big 4 is a plus!)Experience with best-in-class TAS/FDD practicesTrack record of successfully leading TAS/FDD teams including recruiting, training, project managementExceptional analytical skills, including advanced financial modeling and financial / accounting analysis, etcAbility to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis and develop insights and recommendationsAbility to lead multiple engagements simultaneously, using well developed project management skillsMature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quicklyDemonstrated strengths with financial accounting, capital markets, and M&A conceptsDemonstrated success with cultivating strong relationships with clients, executives and boardsAbility to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively to successfully drive TAS/FDD processesProven success with independently developing presentations and other communication materials for executive leadership, external partners, and the Board of AdvisorsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated excellence with presenting to diverse stakeholders (including C-Suite, Board of Advisors, and external targets), and aligning them around a common goal, despite competing interestsProven ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated success with building and improving processes and promoting qualityExperience working with start-up organizations a plusBenefitsCompetitive compensation plus semi-annual performance bonuses401(k) with immediate vesting and employer match after one yearComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageUnlimited vacation time and paid sick leaveShort-term disability insuranceBi-annual team offsites to connect, recharge, and grow togetherFull medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K, unlimited vacation time, paid sick leave, and more!Company OverviewEmbarc Advisors is a financial consultancy that provides strategic services to startups, SMBs, and middle-markets.
