The Director of Success & Career Program Operations will oversee the implementation of Success and Career programming across regions, ensuring that practical supports are in place and monitoring key performance indicators to drive improvements and outcomes.ResponsibilitiesOwn the national Success & Career operating system (goals, milestones, cadence) and ensure coherent delivery across regionsMonitor leading indicators and outcomes; identify fidelity, capacity, and engagement risks; engage leaders and drive timely course correctionLead milestone reviews (before/after-action) to codify lessons learned and improve practiceOperationally own Early Warning System (EWS) implementation; ensure regional and scaled teams act on signals and track follow-throughOperationalize the employability curriculum and interventions aligned to Bottom Lineโ€™s Employability milestonesOversee a scalable volunteer mentoring approach that delivers a strong student and mentor experiencePlan and improve career events, workshops, and convenings using clear success metrics (scale what works; retire what doesnโ€™t)Use EWS and Employability data to target supports equitably and improve outcomesEnable strong implementation across regions for Success and Career programming (readiness, guidance, and process improvement for new and existing sites)Lead communities of practice for Success Program Directors, Success Coaches, and Career Connections staff to build consistency through shared expectations and learning cyclesSet and facilitate the operating cadence (calls, checkpoints, deadlines) so priorities and changes are clear and actionableDeliver onboarding, training, and coaching with Training & Learning; surface gaps and partner with Program Strategy & Fidelity to reduce regional burdenPartner with Program Strategy & Fidelity to align delivery to the Bottom Line Way and fidelity guardrails; bring implementation insights to model evolutionPartner with Access Program Operations on the pre-matriculation handoff, and partner closely with the Director, Scaled Advising on handoffs, escalation pathways, and shared accountability for student outcomes across Year 1 in-person Success and Years 2+ scaled supportsPartner with RAE on measurement, fidelity indicators, and First Destination data cyclesServe as program owner for Success and Career data tools (e.g. Advisor Dashboards, Employability reporting, First Destination data flows)Oversee grant-funded program projects: manage scopes, timelines, and deliverables; track performance against grant metrics; and provide program narrative and data to inform funder reportsMaintain clear timelines, processes, and protocols for key milestones; keep documentation and knowledge bases current and usableUse regional feedback and outcome data to drive operational improvements with Program Strategy & FidelityManage up to two direct reports, as needed, based on grant funding: set goals, provide feedback, support, and coach through challengesBuild a high-performing team culture that supports learning, collaboration, and growthAdditional duties as assignedDuties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without advanced noticeSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience6-8 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, government, or philanthropy; experience serving first-generation and low-income students strongly preferredExperience leading multi-site program operations with accountability for fidelity and student outcomesExpertise in college success/persistence and/or career readiness for first-gen and low-income studentsExperience convening and leading communities of practice; strong facilitation and peer-leader development skillsStrong program planning and implementation skills; able to map processes and anticipate downstream impactsData fluency with Salesforce, Power BI, or comparable tools to manage and analyze resultsChange management mindset; able to lead through program evolution and integrationHigh emotional intelligence; strong cross-functional partnership skillsWork authorization requiredDemonstrated commitment to Bottom Line's Mission, Vision, and Core ValuesExperience leading Career Readiness/Employability programming at scaleProgram/service leadership experience in a national, multi-site organizationExperience managing managersFamiliarity with agile/product ownership; Professional Scrum Product Owner certification a plusExperience with research/evaluation or RCT-readiness contextsLived experience or deep professional relationships in first-generation and low-income communitiesCompany OverviewBottom Line is helping thousands of low-income and first-generation students get to college, stay in college, and earn their degrees.
