TALENT Software Services is looking for a Director of Operations Instructional Design to lead the design and development of digital learning experiences for their Operations team. This role involves establishing a Learning Experience Design Center of Excellence and collaborating across various departments to create engaging and measurable learning programs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Deliver Training, Templates, and Artifacts (40%)Create detailed design principles and templates for the team to use in creating individual training artifacts like webinars, live learning, async lessons and modulesCreate complex training experiences and deliverables using tools like JavaScript extensions, xAPI, cmi5, and BlenderPlan, script, and build engaging, interactive, targeted, and efficient learning artifacts for internal Operations staff who support the delivery of Client products and assessmentsCreate visual elements like graphics, exercises, videos, printables, and assessments to make artifacts engaging to learnersUse Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Review SCORM Cloud, and PowerPoint to create and update training artifactsLearning Strategy and Standards (30%)Establish the Learning Experience Design COE to define standards, templates, and processes for learning design excellencePartner with business leaders to ensure learning programs are measurable and linked to performance outcomes and customer experience improvementsAnticipates future learning needs by staying current with design trends and research. Balances prioritization and delivery of new strategies and approaches with current business needsLeverage AI technologies to develop learning solutions that deliver high business value to materially transform Ops learning experiencesMake necessary adjustments and add required elements (like closed-captioning) to ensure all artifacts are ADA compliant when requiredEnsure final artifacts are compatible with organization's LMS and broader knowledge management infrastructureContinuous Improvement and Evolve Content (30%)Deliver strategies that connect learning programs to business results using data and evaluation models to prove the impact and value of learning initiativesEstablish and monitor key learning performance metrics to measure and enhance business impact, using data to drive continuous improvementImplement feedback loops to gather user insights and measure satisfaction, leveraging this data for iteratively refining learning solutionsMaintain governance processes for content updates in collaboration with SMEs and overall Knowledge and Learning Operations teamSkillsExpertise in digital learning with 5+ years designing and creating digital training programsOutstanding knowledge of emerging trends and best practice in digital learningExpertise in authoring and publishing systems, including Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, and SCORM Cloud to create multimedia solutionsProven capabilities to develop complex learning materials, including simulations, JavaScript extensions, and multimediaExpertise in instructional technologiesOperational experience with LMS technologies and capability to maintain expertise with emerging technologies and standards, xAPI, and cmi5Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to build relationships and influence others to actionA passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of studentsExcellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skillsThe ability to travel 4-6 times a year to Client offices or on behalf of Client businessAuthorization to work in the United StatesA passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven workCuriosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, with a willingness to experiment with and adopt new AI-driven solutions and comfort with learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactivelyClear and concise communication skills, written and verbalA learner's mindset and a commitment to growth: welcoming diverse perspectives, giving and receiving timely, respectful feedback, and continuously improving through iterative learning and user inputA drive for impact and excellence: solving complex problems, making data-informed decisions, prioritizing what matters most, and continuously improving through learning, user input, and external benchmarkingA collaborative and empathetic approach: working across differences, fostering trust, and contributing to a culture of shared successAuthorization to work in the United StatesExperience providing digital learning to K-12 educators is preferred but not requiredCompany OverviewTalent Software Services is an IT staffing services company of healthcare and government sectors.
