They are seeking a Director of Sales and Support to build and lead their new Account Management department, focusing on outbound sales and client retention strategies.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build //TECHYSCOUTS' Account Management department from day one, establishing team structure, workflows, hiring plans, and a sales and service model that scalesLead and grow a team of aggressively sales-focused Account Managers who serve as the primary point of contact for clients across all significant needs — taking a strategic, consultative approach to both service delivery and revenue generationDrive outbound sales efforts to acquire new e-commerce and SMB clients, leveraging your existing network and developing new pipeline through referral partnerships, events, and direct outreachDevelop and execute an account-based sales strategy to maximize revenue and retention from the company's existing client baseLead company-wide training initiatives to align //TECHYSCOUTS staff with the new sales and service model, fostering a unified commercial culture across the organizationCollaborate closely with leadership on a new vertical-focused marketing plan designed to generate inbound leads and provide the credibility needed to support the Account Management team's sales efforts in the fieldBring a strong perspective on org structure, hiring, and department formation informed by high-growth agency experience; align with leadership across the org on key policies, procedures, training and workflowsRepresent //TECHYSCOUTS at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities; support and potentially lead event-based sales and marketing initiativesWork cross-functionally with our delivery, product, and marketing teams to ensure client success and create feedback loops that improve our offeringsContribute to the development and execution of innovative sales campaigns, including contests, raffles, sweepstakes, and performance-based outreach initiativesMonitor sales performance metrics, pipeline health, and client retention KPIs; report regularly to the COO and leadership team with clear insights and action plansSkills10+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, including at least 3-5 years in an agency environmentProven track record of building and leading high-performance sales or account management teams, ideally in a high-growth agency or digital services companyDeep, established network of SMB relationships in need of digital marketing, web development, SEO, paid media, or CRO servicesBroad and current knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, including web development, SEO, paid media, and conversion rate optimizationExperience in selling digital marketing servicesStrong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain top commercial talentEntrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building something new, and capable of operating with minimal infrastructure and bureaucratic bloatExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent //TECHYSCOUTS credibly to senior stakeholders at client organizationsExperience managing remote teams and thriving in a distributed work environmentOnly Los Angeles-based candidates with the legal ability to work in the US can be considered at this timeDeep ties to the dental, travel & adventurism, or DTC e-commerce verticalsExperience in business development and channel partnershipsAn existing network of sales and service professionals who could be hired as the department growsEstablished referral partner networks (agencies, consultants, platforms, integrators)Experience leading event-based sales, webinars, speaking panels and thought leadershipTrack record with innovative sales and marketing campaigns including raffles, sweepstakes, contests, or other high-engagement outreach programsBenefitsSignificant commission and bonus opportunity with tremendous upside for growthFull benefitsWe encourage and help facilitate continued learning to help you add tools to your career toolkit and take on more new, interesting challengesThis is a genuine ground-floor leadership opportunity — you will build something that lasts and have tremendous room to grow within the organizationCompetitive base salary of $100,000+ plus significant commission and bonus opportunity, with huge upside tied directly to the growth you driveFull health and retirement benefits plus an unlimited PTO policyCompany OverviewWe're a group of friends who build and promote custom websites for our friends who own and operate businesses.
