[Remote] Director of Pharmacy Operations

They are seeking a Director of Pharmacy Partnerships to build and manage their pharmacy network for GLP-1 medications and ensure a high-quality patient experience through effective medication fulfilment and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and onboard US pharmacy partners capable of delivering GLP-1 medications and other cardiometabolic therapies at scaleBuild and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy partnersNegotiate commercial agreements with pharmacies, wholesalers and GPOsEvaluate pricing structures, rebate arrangements and fulfilment economicsMonitor market changes including shortages, pricing changes and distribution dynamicsWork with pharmacy partners to improve: fulfilment speed, prescription accuracy, patient onboarding experienceEnsure strong coordination between pharmacy partners, Embla clinicians and coaching teamsImplement processes to reduce dispensing errors and delaysEnsure accurate medication matching (patient, dose, titration schedule)Maintain awareness of federal and state pharmacy regulations (FDA, DEA, state boards of pharmacy)Ensure pharmacy partnerships operate within appropriate regulatory frameworksMonitor compliance requirements relating to prescribing, fulfilment and interstate dispensingDevelop and communicate pharmacy strategy aligned with Embla’s growth plans in the USTrack performance metrics across pharmacy partnersIdentify risks relating to supply chain, pricing or regulatory changeSkills5+ years of experience in pharmacy operationsDemonstrated experience in pharmacy operations, networking, pharmacy procurement contracting and regulatory complianceDeep knowledge of federal and state pharmacy law and FDA requirementsProven ability to negotiate and manage contracts with pharmacy procurements, GPO's and other partnersExperience in a high-growth start-up and/or digital healthcare environmentCompany OverviewEmbla provides an online medical weight loss treatment using prescription drugs and coaching.
