[Remote] Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

They are seeking a Director of FP&A to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis across revenue, expenses, headcount, and key operating metrics while partnering closely with various business stakeholders to improve financial visibility and provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making.ResponsibilitiesSupport recurring forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities across revenue, operating expenses, headcount, and departmental spendBuild, maintain, and enhance financial models used to evaluate SaaS revenue performance, customer trends, margins, cash flow, and operating resultsPrepare recurring financial reports, variance analyses, dashboards, and leadership-facing materials to support business reviews and decision-makingAnalyze performance trends across revenue, expenses, customer activity, sales efficiency, workforce planning, and other key operating metricsPartner with Finance and cross-functional business leaders to validate assumptions, reconcile data, and improve the accuracy and consistency of forecastsSupport monthly and quarterly reporting cycles by preparing financial commentary, KPI analysis, and insights on risks, opportunities, and business performanceAssist with headcount planning, workforce spend analysis, compensation-related modeling, and departmental budget trackingProvide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, customer economics, profitability analysis, and resource allocationIdentify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting cadence, planning files, data quality, and financial planning workflowsCollaborate with Accounting and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between actual results, forecasts, accruals, and management reportingHelp refine reporting tools, dashboards, and recurring planning deliverables to improve visibility for Finance and business stakeholdersSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required8+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or financial analysis experienceStrong financial modeling skills with experience building flexible forecasts, scenario models, variance analyses, and management reporting packagesUnderstanding of SaaS operating metrics such as recurring revenue, customer retention, churn, customer acquisition trends, sales efficiency, gross margin, and operating leverageAdvanced Excel or Google Sheets skills requiredAbility to work with large datasets - translate financial & operational information into actionable business insightsStrong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Accounting, go-to-market teams, operations, and senior stakeholdersComfortable operating independently in consulting capacity & managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail, analytical judgment, and ability to produce accurate, leadership-ready deliverablesPrior experience in SaaS, enterprise software, technology, or recurring revenue business model strongly preferredExperience working with financial planning, reporting, CRM, ERP, or business intelligence tools preferredBenefitsOur consultants receive benefits, competitive compensation, gain access to the full breadth of our recruiting capabilities and are introduced to roles that are accretive to their personal and professional growth.Company OverviewCFO's Domain is a consulting, recruiting firm specializing in accounting and finance professionals.
