[Remote] Director of Business Development, Satellite Constellations
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Muon Space is an end-to-end Space Systems Provider focused on delivering mission-critical data through LEO satellite constellations. They are seeking a Director of Business Development to grow their business in the Department of War, responsible for outreach, strategic planning, and leading capture activities to create new opportunities.ResponsibilitiesDrive near term and long term growth for Muon Space in DoDLead customer engagement, pipeline development and capture effortsProvide thought leadership in the development and synthesis of a cohesive and executable strategy for target organizationsIdentify new opportunities and lead capture throughout pipeline stages to support company growth targetsCreate, maintain and implement customer engagement plansLead proposals and RFI responses. As part of proposal leadership- develop win themes, engage with engineering to develop technical solutions, develop Price to Win, write content and perform overall review of content before submissionLeverage Muon Space’s tools and processes to track and manage opportunitiesCollaborate with other BD personnel and engineering on opportunitiesProvide input from Customers into the product technology roadmapWork with Legal and Finance on opportunitiesAll other duties as assignedSkills10+ years of professional experience in aerospace/ defense with 5+ years in Business DevelopmentAble to build a plan and execute with clear ownership and minimal oversightExperience working with business development on USG captures and supporting and/or leading proposalsDemonstrated success capturing space business within the DoW/ ICContinuous learner that is not afraid to lead through uncertainty, take chances, and learn from his/her mistakesConsistently takes initiative and champions causes that need to be addressedDemonstrated emotional intelligence to interact and empathize with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environmentAble to travel up to 35% of timeActive DoW TS clearanceMaster's degree in technical fieldDemonstrated experience delivering to DoW/ICPrevious Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilityExperience with remote sensing satellite development and/or mission operationsExperience working with a diverse set of U.S. Government DoW, IC and Civil customersUnderstanding of systems engineering processes and system architecturesBenefitsOTE $354,000 – $400,000 (base + target commission at 100% quota attainment).
