[Remote] Director, M&A Finance

The Director of M&A Finance will play a critical role in shaping the company’s long-term growth and capital deployment strategy by providing analysis and insights that influence mergers, acquisitions, and capital allocation decisions.ResponsibilitiesLead the creation of the valuation analysis for M&A opportunities using discounted cash flow model and other relevant valuation practicesActively manages the M&A due diligence process by coordinating with the Corporate Finance Functions—identifying key financial risks and opportunities related to the transactionGood understanding of transaction documents, impact of negotiations on potential financial risk to the business and ability to articulate internallyCommunicates key operating and valuation drivers to senior leadership highlighting the overall impact on the enterpriseOwn the preparation of financial schedules included in M&A to Senior Leadership and Board of DirectorsReview valuation analysis for capital deployment developed by the business and assist in the preparation of capital presentations for Senior Leadership and boardDevelops relationships with relevant internal stakeholders across the enterprise, including business units, corporate development, and other corporate functionsPerform other ad hoc analysis, as neededSkillsRelevant degreeTypically requires 10 years of experience5+ years Valuation, M&A and transaction advisory experienceCapability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with minimal directionInteract with business units throughout the organization and present the results and status of various deals effectively to senior leadershipMust be able to successfully collaborate with key stakeholders across functional areasThis individual will need to be a problem solver, persistent, and goal orientedFinancial reporting knowledge including: income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, net working capital, and capital expendituresExceptional financial modeling skills including: weighted average cost of capital (WACC) calculation, discounted cash flow modeling, market multiple analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, and other valuation related methodologiesExceptional communications skills (clear and concise communication to senior leadership)Written communications skills and the ability to concisely summarize key trends and analyses to management and other key stakeholdersExcellent PC skills with a solid working knowledge of Excel and PowerPointPreference in having experience using Capital IQBenefitsCompetitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total RewardsOther compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offeredCompany OverviewWelcome to the official LinkedIn page for McKesson Corporation.
