They are seeking a Director of Business Development to secure partnerships in the education sector, focusing on K-12 districts and higher education institutions while ensuring operational excellence and cost management.ResponsibilitiesOwn full-cycle business development for integrated facility services within the education sectorBuild and manage a pipeline of complex, multi-site opportunities across school districts and campus environmentsIdentify and target key accounts across K-12, private universities, and higher education systemsLead consultative discovery processes, aligning solutions to institutional priorities such as budget constraints, deferred maintenance, and campus standardsNavigate multi-stakeholder environments, engaging finance leaders, facilities teams, procurement, and governance bodiesStructure and position integrated service models that balance operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and long-term performancePartner with internal teams to design, price, and structure solutions aligned to client needsLead RFPs, proposals, and contract negotiations within both public and private sector procurement environmentsMaintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting using CRM toolsDeliver against revenue, margin, and long-term contract value objectivesSkillsYou bring a strong combination of commercial acumen and operational understanding, with the ability to navigate complex environments and build credibility with senior stakeholders7â10+ years of experience in solutionâbased selling within facility services, outsourcing, or managed servicesDirect experience working with Kâ12 school districts and/or higher education institutionsA proven track record of closing large, multiâyear contracts (typically $1M+ annually)Strong understanding of integrated facility management models, including bundled service delivery across technical and soft servicesExperience navigating procurementâdriven environments and formal RFP processesThe ability to translate operational solutions into clear financial and institutional valueStrong relationshipâbuilding skills with executiveâlevel and operational stakeholdersA collaborative approach, working crossâfunctionally with operations, finance, and technical teamsA degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceFlexibility to travel based on client needs (approximately 60â70%)BenefitsAward winning safety culture.Be part of a growing organization with a strong focus on innovation and operational excellence.Competitive compensation and benefits package including 401k, medical, dental, vision, paid time off.Fully Remote work model.Supportive team environment with room to grow together.Certified as a Great Place to Work 2025-2026!Company OverviewDexterra Group provides facilities management and operations, workforce accommodations, modular solutions, forestry and energy services.
