The DevOps Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing modern DevOps practices to enhance software delivery efficiency and reliability, working closely with engineering teams to improve deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, QA, training, and production environmentsStandardize and optimize deployment processes for consistent, reliable, and scalable deliveryAdminister and support Azure DevOps pipelines, including repositories, agent pools, environments, and service connectionsImplement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and reusable automation solutions for environment setup and application deliveryConfigure and support cloud and on-premises environments to ensure performance, stability, and alignment with business needsDrive adoption of automated testing, validation checks, and quality gates within CI/CD pipelinesTroubleshoot build, deployment, and environment issues and perform root cause analysisImplement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to improve reliability and reduce riskLeverage AI-assisted tools to enhance development workflows, code validation, and pipeline efficiencyEvaluate and recommend tools and process improvements to increase delivery performance and developer productivityPartner with engineering teams throughout planning, design, and delivery processesProvide guidance on DevOps best practices, deployment strategies, and pipeline designAct as a liaison across development, infrastructure, security, networking, and data teamsEnsure delivery processes meet security and compliance standards, including access controls and audit requirementsPromptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance DepartmentComply with VytlOne’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and VytlOne’s Compliance ProgramPerform other job-related duties as assignedMaintain documentation for systems, pipelines, and processes and identify improvement opportunitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred5+ years of experience in DevOps, software delivery, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineeringProven experience designing and building DevOps platforms and CI/CD pipelines from the ground upHands-on experience supporting the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, including source control, branching strategies, pull requests, build/deployment pipelines, and environment promotionExperience working in Azure DevOps environments, including Azure Repos and Azure PipelinesExperience partnering with engineering teams to standardize development, testing, and release practicesExperience supporting secure and compliant delivery processes in regulated environments preferredExperience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (preferred), GitHub, or similar platformsStrong Git-based source control experience, including branching strategies and pull request workflowsExperience implementing code validation, approval policies, and quality gatesWorking knowledge of Azure DevOps security, permissions, and pipeline administrationExperience designing automated build and deployment processes with reliable environment promotionExperience integrating automated testing, validation, and quality checks into pipelinesStrong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, YAML, or similar)Experience with Azure cloud and hybrid environments, including infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, or similar)Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency and code qualityStrong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiencesBenefitsComprehensive mental health and wellbeing resourcesNationwide Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO with employee-friendly plan design, including an $850 individual annual medical deductible and $25 office visit copays, with low biweekly premiumsCompany-paid basic life/AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insuranceRx, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits, and FSAEmployer-matched 401k PlanComprehensive PTO planCompany OverviewVytlOne is a pharma company that provides pharmacy-benefit management with specialty pharmacy services to support health systems.
