[Remote] Development Operations Manager

The Development Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operational aspects of the Alliance's fundraising function, including donor database management, pipeline tracking, compliance, and process improvement.ResponsibilitiesOwn the Alliance's donor database — data quality, segmentation, custom fields, and integrations with other systemsEnsure that every donor interaction (gift, meeting, communication, event attendance) is recorded consistentlyGenerate reports on pipeline health, donor retention, segment performance, and campaign outcomesMaintain the donor pipeline tracker, ensuring that every prospect has a current stage, owner, and next actionSurface pipeline-stage transitions and pipeline gaps to the Fundraising DirectorRun weekly or bi-weekly pipeline check-ins to keep the fundraising team aligned on prospect statusMaintain documentation needed for FEC compliance — donor identification, contribution limits, prohibited contributions screening, and required reportingCoordinate with the 501(c)(4) Treasurer and external accountants on financial reporting integrationTrack compliance deadlines and ensure required filings are completed on timeIdentify operational gaps in the fundraising function and propose improvementsBuild templates, workflows, and documentation that reduce the operational load on the rest of the fundraising teamTrain fundraising team members on systems and processes to ensure consistent useSkillsStrong operational and systems-thinking instinctsDetail-oriented with reliable follow-through on operational tasksComfortable with the unsexy backbone work that makes the rest of the team effectiveCommitment to A4AL's bipartisan mission and valuesExperience with donor CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, NGP VAN, EveryAction, Bloomerang) or comparable database toolsFamiliarity with FEC compliance requirements for federal PACs preferred but not required — the role can grow into thisCompany OverviewThe Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL) is a nonpartisan coalition of young professionals and foreign policy experts dedicated to revitalizing U.S. It was founded in 2025, and is headquartered in , with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
