The role involves assisting and supervising the start-up of chillers and overseeing the commissioning process on data center projects, requiring expertise in commercial HVAC systems.ResponsibilitiesAssist and supervise the start-up of air-cooled and water-cooled chillers on data center projectsLead and support the full commissioning process, ensuring all systems meet operational and performance standardsCoordinate with data center project teams, contractors, and external parties throughout the commissioning and start-up phasesPerform functional testing and quality assurance inspections to verify units meet predetermined build and performance standardsTroubleshoot refrigeration and electrical systems and interpret wiring diagrams accurately and efficientlyExecute, follow, and verify outlined start-up and commissioning procedures and documentationCommunicate technical concerns and findings clearly within the organization and to external stakeholdersIntermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to lift 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures and environmentsAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionWillingness to learn and grow within the data center support divisionMust be willing and able to travel to various locations as required for site visitsSkills5–8 years of field commercial HVAC experienceVerifiable HVAC school completionProven experience with chiller start-up and commissioning processesStrong understanding of the refrigeration cycle and all its componentsControls experienceQuality assurance (QA) experienceDemonstrated leadership and supervisory qualitiesEPA Certification (required)Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures and environmentsAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionWillingness to learn and grow within the data center support divisionMust be willing and able to travel to various locations as required for site visitsIntermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookPrior data center or mission-critical facility experienceCompany OverviewCommercial and Industrial manufacturer of A/C products.
