What youll be doing...
As Principal Engineer-Full Stack of Verizon Business Group Assisted Sales and Ordering, you will be responsible for the following but not limited:
Defining functional strategy, design, architecture and delivery of critical building blocks that will transform and modernize Assisted Sales and Ordering platform into new platform O360. Enabling consensus on technical design and architecture across cross functional delivery teams and overseeing the IT development across all impacted BSS Systems (Quoting, Ordering, Pricing, Contracting etc.). Analyzing architecture, relationship between systems and system flow of end-to-end system designs. Assess system usage trends and identify potential performance constraints with inter-system designs. Ensuring the enablement of Wireline products and the development and support of assisted sales and ordering platforms for the Wireline suite of strategic products such as 5G, NaaS, CPE, Security, Professional Services and Collaboration Products enablement for B2B Customers spanning across multiple segments (Small & Medium Businesses, Global Enterprise & Public Sector). Managing software delivery with both onshore and offshore resource teams and with IT vendors. Improve global team productivity and throughput with DevOps methodologies and agile sprints. Exploring cutting edge technology and platforms in the market & developing proof of concept to solve business problems. Leading current platform and infrastructure strategy for platform and delivering on efficiencies for pre-sales and ordering systems. Providing communication to articulate the vision and translate complex issues into comprehensible ideas and concepts.
What were looking for...
Youll need to have: Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Experience in driving large scale programs / projects based of Java/J2EE, React JS, Spring boot Micro-services, MFE, Oracle/Cassandra. Experience leading development of microservices on Java/SpringBoot/JPA. Exposure to Cloud Technologies like OCI, AWS. Experience working in an Agile team. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Experience in cloud and container platform strategies, design, architecture and migration. Knowledge of Verizon Business products and product life cycle in Private Network and SHyN (Secure Hybrid Network). Knowledge of Experience in product implementation with Fixed Wireless Access with SDWAN. Exposure to SRE/DevOps technologies like GIT, Jenkins, Logstash, Kibana, Rabbit MQ, etc. Experience leading development of containerized applications/services such as Docker/Kubernetes. Experience developing and maintaining KPIs/Metrics. Experience using GIT/Stash/GitLab, Jenkins and an understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery. Experience mentoring junior developers. Experience in wireline products landscape like Network as a Service (NaaS) & Multi Cloud Fabric. Experience in developing applications and API frameworks to enable large scale efficiencies. Leadership experience of a large, global, complex technology-based organization. Experience in innovative application of data- and metric-driven performance management to lower cost and drive efficiency.
