In this role, you will design and build rich, interactive data visualizations that simplify complex datasets and enhance user understanding.ResponsibilitiesDevelop interactive and information-rich visualizations using JavaScript, React, D3, and SVGBuild backend data services using Python to support visualization needsDesign visual solutions with a focus on usability, accessibility, and user experienceCollaborate with domain experts and engineering teams to integrate new data setsWork closely with NLP engineers to incorporate extracted insights into visual interfacesContinuously explore new tools and technologies to enhance visualization capabilitiesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to team-wide engineering best practicesSkills3+ years of professional experience building data visualization or analytics softwareStrong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, along with HTML and CSS/SASSProven ability to transform complex data into clear, meaningful visualizationsStrong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skillsBachelor's degree in design, visual communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)Expertise in React or D3.jsExperience with Python or ElasticsearchKnowledge of PostgreSQL and ORM tools like SQLAlchemyExperience contributing to open-source or sharing code samples/projectsCompany OverviewAt SoTechTalent, we specialise in connecting forward-thinking tech companies with world-class talent.
