[Remote] data scientist/data modeler/AI/ML SME(Developer Advocate)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RIT Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Developer Advocate for their Global Data Assets & Analytics team. This role focuses on bridging the gap between the data science community and the DSE platform, enabling data scientists to model and operationalize their solutions effectively while fostering community engagement and providing technical support.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Partner with member of the Data Science community to implement best practices and align with platform vision
ā¢ Develop and contribute tools that simplify platform operations
ā¢ Create educational content and provide technical support
ā¢ Gather developer feedback and advocate for community needs
ā¢ Foster a thriving data science community
ā¢ Provide technical support to data scientists, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on best practices
ā¢ Deliver support through various channels, including documentation, Microsoft teams channels, direct communication, and in-person events
ā¢ Participate in and organize events like hackathons, workshops, and meetups to facilitate interaction and knowledge sharing
ā¢ Build relationships with key influencers, community leaders, and other organizations to extend the platform's reach and amplify its messages
ā¢ Act as evangelists for GDA&A's technologies, platforms and data products, showcasing their value and potential through various channels
ā¢ Participate or facilitate in internal workshops and events to promote Bayer's offerings and inspire developers to build innovative solutions
Skills
ā¢ Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
ā¢ Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science such as Python or R, with experience in libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and data visualization tools
ā¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences
ā¢ Experience in creating technical documentation, tutorials, and educational materials
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product managers
ā¢ Understanding of data science platforms, MLOps practices, and model deployment strategies
ā¢ Strong understanding of cloud platforms and data science workflows, particularly with containerization and orchestration technologies
ā¢ Knowledge of software development best practices including version control (Git), code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines
ā¢ Ability to gather, synthesize, and communicate feedback effectively between technical and business stakeholders
ā¢ Strong problem-solving skills with experience in troubleshooting technical issues across diverse environments
ā¢ Experience with the DSE (Decision Science Ecosystem) platform or similar enterprise data science platforms
ā¢ Knowledge of agricultural domain applications and crop science use cases
ā¢ Familiarity with Location360, Market360, Product360, and Crop Science Warehouse (CSW) products
ā¢ Experience organizing or facilitating hackathons, workshops, and technical meetups
ā¢ Background in developer relations, technical evangelism, or community management roles
ā¢ Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in data science contexts
ā¢ Experience with data formats and interface description languages such as Protobuf
ā¢ Experience with content creation including blog writing, video production, or podcast participation
ā¢ Understanding of machine learning model governance and compliance requirements in enterprise environments
