[Remote] Data Scientist – GenAI Engineering

They are seeking a Data Scientist – GenAI Engineering to analyze large datasets, develop machine learning models, and build generative AI-enabled solutions for business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data science and machine learning, along with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business outcomes.ResponsibilitiesCollect, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insightsDevelop, train, and deploy machine learning and GenAI models to solve complex business problemsDesign and implement generative AI engineering solutions aligned with enterprise use casesBuild data visualizations, dashboards, and reporting tools to communicate insights to stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver analytical solutionsPerform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and integrity of datasetsTranslate business problems into data science and AI-driven solution approachesSupport experimentation, model evaluation, and performance optimization of ML/AI systemsDocument methodologies, model logic, and analytical findings for stakeholder and technical audiencesSkillsHigh school diploma (or GED) required5 to 10 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and/or AI engineeringStrong hands-on experience in GenAI engineering (primary skill requirement)Experience working with large-scale datasets and advanced analytics techniquesProven experience developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithmsStrong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluationExperience building dashboards and data visualizations for business stakeholdersStrong programming skills (Python and/or related data science languages assumed)Experience ensuring data quality, integrity, and validation processesStrong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skillsA bachelor's (or advanced) degree in a relevant field of studyExperience working in consulting or enterprise client-facing environmentsExperience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with modern GenAI frameworks and tools (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG systems)Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or TableauExperience deploying models into production environmentsStrong understanding of statistical modeling and experimental designBackground in regulated or enterprise-scale industriesBenefitsContract (W2)Remote (US-based candidates only)A pre-employment background check & drug screening will be required for this position.Company OverviewBernard Nickels & Associates is a staffing agency that offers recruitment and staffing for IT, office support, finance and legal sectors.
