This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement data strategies and deliver production-grade BI solutions that support operational decisions on major construction programs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop interactive dashboards for project and field useImplement row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and governance standardsDeploy and manage solutions within Power BI capacitiesConfigure and optimize data gatewaysManage workspaces, deployment pipelines, and versioning strategiesDesign and develop scalable Power BI datasets using modeling best practicesBuild optimized semantic models supporting enterprise-scale reportingImplement incremental refresh, aggregation tables, composite models, and DirectQuery/Import hybrid architecturesEngineer high-performance DAX measures for complex business logicTroubleshoot and refactor poorly performing modelsContribute to enterprise data standards and BI best practicesWork with data engineers to define optimized data contractsAnalyze and troubleshoot end-to-end data pipelinesContribute to ELT design patterns across: + Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2) + Azure Databricks (Spark / PySpark / Spark SQL) + Azure Data Factory + SQL Server / Azure SQLEnsure datasets are structured for performance, scalability, and reusabilitySkillsStrong PowerBi experience is required including PowerBI Premium or EmbeddedProgramming: Expert level SQL, PL/SQL, Experienced Python skills (with a strong track record of optimizing complex Power BI models for performance and scalability)Proficient in writing advanced / complex SQL, expertise in optimization of SQL queries preferredFamiliarity with the EPC industry required (Engineering or Construction)Experience in troubleshooting and working with various teams in resolving issues / solving complex problemsProven ability to understand complex business rules and processes and then build integration processes and database views to represent those rules and processesExcellent written and strong oral communication skillsUnderstanding of ETL fundamentals and solutionsShould be proficient in writing advanced / complex SQL, expertise in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries requiredExperience in Python/Pyspark and Spark SQL (primary languages used in our solutions)Experience in troubleshooting data issues and analyzing end to end data pipelinesStrong experience developing data analytics and visualizations with transformation and aggregation from multiple formats for analyzing and uncovering insights / intelligence for project teamsFamiliar with source control and version control systemsExperience with creation of technical documentation for Functional Requirements, Scope documents, Technical Design, and Business Process Modeling etc8+ years of experience in BI / data analyticsRegular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectively.
