Remote Data Engineer - Forecasting Core Data Engineering

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Forecasting Core Data Engineering team, where you'll design and develop scalable data solutions using AWS and Amazon internal tools.
In this role, you'll work closely with a talented team of software development engineers, product managers, data scientists, and business intelligence specialists to create the data infrastructure and processing pipelines that drive our team's initiatives. Your expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines will be essential in building large-scale datasets for AI models and downstream clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-performance ETLs with EMR-based applications and support them on Paste ETL or Redshift
Create and maintain business logic for data transformation and ingestion pipelines
Build and maintain datasets in Amazon's data lake and internal data management systems using S3/Paste
Analyze and interpret data to understand the impact of changes on downstream clients' use cases and build change logic to ingest data for forecasting data analysis
Provide high-quality data to Amazon's downstream data customers
Requirements:
2+ years of data engineering experience
Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
Bachelor's or Master's degree
Experience with SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Paste, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
3+ years of data engineering experience
