[Remote] Data Center Project Manager (Cabling Expertise Required) - with up to 50% travel to different data center locations in the US

They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of data center infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data center environments and strong project management skills to ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities β’ Plan, manage, and deliver data center projects including new builds, expansions, migrations, and decommissions. β’ Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders. β’ Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones. β’ Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. β’ Ensure resource availability and allocation, resolving bottlenecks or conflicts as they arise. β’ Manage risks, issues, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle. β’ Ensure compliance with data center standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. β’ Conduct regular project status meetings and provide clear updates to stakeholders and leadership. β’ Oversee installation of critical systems, including power, cooling, cabling, and IT hardware. β’ Facilitate handoffs to operations teams and ensure smooth transitions from project phase to production support. β’ Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Skills β’ Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. β’ 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years managing data center or infrastructure-related projects. β’ Strong knowledge of data center components, including servers, storage, networking, cabling, HVAC, power systems, and security. β’ Proven experience managing complex, multi-site infrastructure projects. β’ Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello). β’ Familiarity with ITIL, PMI, or Agile methodologies. β’ PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification. β’ Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). β’ Background in facilities engineering, networking, or systems administration is a plus.
