[Remote] Data Architect

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Coltech is seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Lead to design and own an enterprise-wide data ecosystem. This role involves defining the end-to-end data supply chain to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads at scale.

Responsibilities
• Define modern cloud data architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Design enterprise data lakes, curated zones, marts, and consumption layers
• Architect batch, streaming, CDC, and API-led data pipelines
• Lead platform and tooling selection (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, dbt, Airflow, etc.)
• Define data models, governance, lineage, and quality standards
• Enable BI, self-serve analytics, and ML feature pipelines
• Set data operating models and work across engineering, analytics, and business teams

Skills
• Proven experience designing large-scale enterprise data platforms
• Strong cloud data architecture background (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Hands-on understanding of modern data stacks (SQL, Python, Spark, dbt, streaming)
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2)
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and architectural levels
• Experience in regulated or data-heavy industries
• Data architecture or cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, TOGAF)
