[Remote] Customer Support Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MULTIVAC USA is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to provide remote technical support for their machines. The role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electronic, and operational issues, as well as developing technical documentation and assisting with quality-related issues.ResponsibilitiesProvide general technical assistance to internal and external customers by diagnosing and resolving a broad range of unique and complex mechanical, electronic, and application issues as they exist on Multivac productsCollaborate with Technical Lead and other colleagues to develop a product knowledge base and troubleshooting techniquesProvide technical documentation to internal and external customers as necessaryIdentify and assist with the resolution of quality-related issues to international headquartersAssist Controls Technician with programming of electronic spare parts and produce solutions to unique challenges which interfere with parts shipping deadlinePeriodically travel to participate in training, machine acceptance testing, assessments of customer applications, and complex Field Service matters at customer sitesPerform other tasks as needed in support of internal and external customersSkillsAssociate's degree in technical discipline and two years related experience in field service or manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and operational aspects of machinesSolid understanding of induction and servo motors, drives, and controllersBasic knowledge of various low-voltage switches, sensors, and transducers as well electro-pneumatics and vacuum principlesAbility to read and interpret documents such as technical documentation, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to interpret and understand machine schematics and general overall machine CAD and layout schematicsModular PLC experience preferredCompany OverviewWe take great pride in setting the industry standard in technology, efficiency, and reliability through our expertly engineered products.
