Medical Informatics Corp. (MIC) is a medical software company that aims to save lives by improving how patients are monitored. Our solution, Sickbay, collects patient data, stores it, transforms it, and delivers results to doctors and nurses in real time. We continue to build on Sickbay to identify early warning signs of patient deterioration in data that was previously lost within hospitals. This allows us to provide predictive alerts to care providers who can remotely or locally diagnose the problem and intervene before symptoms become life-threatening.

Duties and Responsibilities

Follow comprehensive test plans to verify that software meets quality standards and functional requirements.

Perform routine checks on existing features after new updates to ensure no negative impact on the current software performance.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results in Confluence, ensuring all QA artifacts are organized and up-to-date.

Assist in running existing automated test scripts to identify defects in current feature releases.

Work alongside technical resources to learn how testing is integrated into the build process and help monitor these processes during sprints.

Carefully document software inconsistencies and bugs, providing the development team with clear information on how and where the issue occurred.

Attend meetings with developers and product managers to understand technical requirements and contribute to discussions regarding software functionality.

Adhere to company quality assurance policies, including security and accessibility guidelines.

Dedicate time to professional development through assigned books, courses, and team mentorship to master QA methodologies.

Perform other operations-related duties as assigned to support the overall health of the product.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documentation guidelines in an electronic environment.

Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work proactively and independently in a remote setting.

Proficiency with remote work and digital collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, instant messaging, shared document platforms) and Google Workspace.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Demonstrated commitment to reliability, accountability, and follow-through in both independent and team settings.
