[Remote] CTO

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EVONA is a deep-tech scale-up at the forefront of quantum computing, seeking a business-minded CTO to partner with the CEO in driving the transition from a research organization to a revenue-generating technology leader. The successful candidate will set the technology commercialization strategy, oversee research teams, and drive revenue through the development of a Quantum Data Centre and monetization of hardware IP. Responsibilities • Set the technology commercialisation strategy and monetisation roadmap • Oversee hardware, software, and application research teams (200+ people) • Lead the shift toward productisation and manufacturing capability • Drive revenue in two stages: • Long-term – build and scale a Quantum Data Centre • Near-term – monetise hardware IP and explore commercialisation of existing software platforms • Act as a strategic bridge between highly technical teams, the CEO, and investors Skills • Senior leader with experience in deep tech / semiconductors / HPC / AI / photonics or similarly complex systems • Proven track record in turning advanced R&D into commercial products and scalable revenue streams • Strong background in product strategy and technology commercialisation (not just technical execution) • Collaborative leadership style: able to respect existing culture while guiding change • Comfortable managing multi-disciplinary, complex engineering organisations • Based in US/Canada, with quarterly travel as required Company Overview • We believe in the evolution of knowledge and the progression of people - it is so core to our business, it's the meaning of our name: EVO - to evolve, ONA - people.
