[Remote] Cost Management, Consultant

The Cost Management Consultant will oversee the implementation of the PowerCosting product at large health systems, serving as the main contact for clients and ensuring project management and success during deployments.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the overall project management and success of deployments for the PowerCosting product suite. They will interact with the client’s Finance, Operations and Clinical teams on a regular basis throughout the engagementMust be a subject matter expert in cost accounting principles and healthcare operations. The role needs to be able to guide clients and the Health Catalyst technical implementation team during the assessment and deployment phases of the projectOwner of project timelines, tasks and goalsProvides end-user training and acts as the point person for managing software issues and troubleshooting during the implementation of the PowerCosting suiteActs as the primary point of contact between the client and the PowerCosting product development team during the deployment, tracking issues and logging enhancement requestsSkills5+ years' experience in a finance, operations and/or cost accounting role within healthcare system or provider organizationsAt least 3 years' program or project management experienceProven executive account management experience, ideally in a health care related industryHealthcare cost accounting experience, strongly preferred, in order to facilitate cost management discussionsDemonstrated project management experience, including a strong attention to detailProven experience in health care operations both clinical and technicalExceptional interpersonal, communication, relationship building, organization, and time-management skillsWorking knowledge of complex cost accounting rules and processesAbility to build, bridge communication and work in a cross functional team of technology, clinical, and administrative resourcesProven ability to adjust quickly in a dynamic environment, applying best practices in clinical and agile technology program managementDetail-oriented, efficient, organized, resourceful, and highly productivePossess analytical problem-solving skillsAnticipates and manages conflict resolutionHands on experience/participation in the implementation of cost accounting system(s) in a healthcare environment, either from the vendor or client perspectiveExperience with project management toolsWorking knowledge of Slack or other modern communication toolsBachelor's degree in Finance or AccountingCompany OverviewHealth Catalyst helps healthcare organizations turn complex data into meaningful action.
