[Remote] Cost Estimator & Lifecycle Analyst

They are seeking a Cost Estimator & Lifecycle Analyst to develop data-driven lifecycle cost models that support warranty forecasting, retrofit pricing, and ROI-driven business cases, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize systems and enhance performance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain complex lifecycle cost models, including Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), and demand forecasting toolsPerform parametric cost estimating, regression analysis, and data normalization using historical datasets to identify cost drivers and trendsEvaluate design alternatives and assess costs across the full product lifecycle (development through end-of-life)Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints, P&IDs, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to extract accurate cost inputsSupport warranty reserve planning and cost-recovery strategies through financial modeling and trend analysisGenerate pricing inputs and financial analysis for retrofit and upgrade programsAnalyze lifecycle cost trends, margin performance, and financial exposure to inform strategic decisionsConduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess risk, quantify uncertainty, and determine appropriate contingenciesDevelop and present clear, data-driven business cases to support lifecycle investment decisionsPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to translate technical assumptions into commercial and financial outputsPresent and defend complex financial analyses to leadership and key stakeholders with clarity and confidenceMaintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost assumptions, estimates, and reportingOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master's preferred)Minimum of 6 years of experience in cost modeling, lifecycle analysis, or operations analyticsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling toolsExperience with systems such as ACEIT (or similar cost estimating tools), Power BI, and SAP ERPStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skillsApproximate 30% may be required in support of the position's responsibilitiesBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionDisability401KPTOOther benefitsCompany OverviewSymbotic is a provider of integrated supply network automation solutions for warehouses and distribution centers.
