[Remote] Cost Accountant

The role involves managing inventory costing, evaluating pricing, and supporting project cost analysis while ensuring accurate valuation and reporting in a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform and manage inventory costing and adjustments , including manual updates based on physical inventory countsAnalyze and support tariff costing and pricing evaluations across products/projectsReview and assess project-level costs , selecting key projects to determine actual vs. estimated costsIdentify and maintain project classifications and costing methodologiesSupport inventory-heavy accounting operations , ensuring accurate valuation and reportingAssist with accounts payable (AP) processing as neededPartner cross-functionally to evaluate and improve costing accuracy and transparencyIdentify and drive process improvements , especially around manual workflows, in preparation for system enhancements (Epicor)Provide flexible support across accounting functions, stepping in where needed in a lean environmentSkills3+ years of cost accounting experienceStrong experience working in inventory-heavy environmentsComfortable working with manual processes and helping to improve them over timeProficiency with QuickBooks and strong Excel skillsProven ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced, evolving environmentWillingness to take on a hands-on, adaptable role and support multiple areas as neededStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around pricing and cost evaluationDemonstrated focus on process improvement and operational efficiencyBachelor's degree preferredExperience working in a multi-site environmentExposure to or experience with Epicor ERP (especially in implementation or transition phases)Company OverviewAt LHH, we believe work should be meaningful, fulfilling, and connected.
