[Remote] Compliance Director - BRIE
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. They are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Director to lead compliance operations, ensuring adherence to regulations while fostering a culture of compliance excellence.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory changes
ā¢ Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies by timely adopting new requirements
ā¢ Oversee regulatory reporting to insurance departments and other compliance functions including, but not limited to, the following:
ā¢ Consumer Complaint Handling
ā¢ Regulatory Exams & Investigations (including Market Conduct Exams)
ā¢ Regulatory Inquiries & Communications
ā¢ Homeowners Data Calls
ā¢ NAIC Market Conduct Annual Statements
ā¢ Coordination of financial reporting requirements; and
ā¢ Medicare Secondary Payer compliance, including Section 111 reporting
ā¢ Create, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to regulations
ā¢ Support the adoption and adherence to corporate governance procedures and best business practice guidelines
ā¢ Develop, organize, and deliver compliance training programs to communicate key regulatory changes and compliance responsibilities
ā¢ Identify, assess, manage and mitigate compliance risks by developing and implementing internal controls and procedures
ā¢ Support and manage complex strategic planning and projects
ā¢ Conduct regulator internal reviews/audits to assess compliance with regulations and prepare reports for leadership
ā¢ Work closely with various departments to ensure compliance activities are integrated into business processes and operations
ā¢ Partner with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, including Legal and Operations, to support regulatory requirements for BRIE
ā¢ Serve as a strategic advisor on regulatory requirements, filings, and industry trends
ā¢ Report key compliance metrics and risk assessments to senior leadership
Skills
ā¢ 7+ years in Property & Casualty insurance compliance
ā¢ In-house carrier experience required
ā¢ Strong understanding of NAIC model laws, state-specific regulations, and compliance frameworks
ā¢ Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
ā¢ Adept at process improvement and technology-driven compliance solutions
ā¢ Bachelor's degree required
ā¢ High ethical standards, sound judgment, and ability to influence decision-making at senior levels
ā¢ Juris Doctor degree and compliance certifications (e.g., CRCM, CCEP) preferred
