[Remote] Cloud Network Engineer

They are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing networking infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role requires collaboration with the cloud team to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure cloud network architecture.ResponsibilitiesProvide design, implementation, and support of Cisco ASR-based on-premises network (NexusWork with the cloud team for implementation and deployment of the cloud network architecture, ensuring that the solutions are scalable, reliable, and securePlanning, performing, testing, and documenting network posture to ensure proper/secure connectivity and operations within our cloud environments and external connectionsEnsure interoperability between applications that need to securely communicateCreating and maintaining necessary supporting configuration artifacts such as network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance processes and proceduresCollaborate with other teams and stakeholders to define technical requirements, develop network architecture, and identify risks and mitigation strategiesSkillsAt Minimum Four (4) to Eight (8) years proven experience with hands-on Network Architecture and/or EngineeringBachelor's degree. In lieu of degree Four (4) additional years of experience will be neededHands-on experience in Cloud Environment in one or more of the cloud platforms listed aboveDemonstrated knowledge of cloud networking and routing to include VPCs, subnetting, security groups, route tables, peering connections, direct connect direct connect gateway, IPv4, IPv6, dynamic routing, network performance monitoring, vpn, firewall, route53, MTIPS, and IPSECDemonstrated knowledge of network architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices across routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)Experience of at least one Infrastructure-as-Code tool (Terraform, CloudFormation, python, GitHub, etc.)Working knowledge of federal compliance and security standardsAbility to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiencesMust be a US Citizen or a Green Card holderNo visa sponsorship available for this positionMust be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
