The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and guiding supervisees, ensuring quality client care, and supporting professional development within the team.ResponsibilitiesProvide regular triadic supervision to Associate PsychotherapistsMonitor and evaluate clinical work while offering guidance, feedback and supportPromote collaboration and growth oriented mindsetStay current with industry trends, best practices and evidenced-based interventionsOversee the management of client cases, ensuring effective treatment planning, use of appropriate interventions and coordination of careRequest case presentations/video recordings to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirementsEncourage employee development, measurement and accountability, while highlighting achievementsCoach to achieve successful results to enhance employee satisfactionRecognize gaps in skills and offer training to improve performance and professional developmentConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to support supervisees’ growth and developmentWith the support of HR, address employee relations and performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions as neededEstablish and maintain quality assurance measures to evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of clinical servicesConduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standardsAddress and resolve any issues related to quality of client careFoster a positive and collaborative supervisory team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills, including developing strong relationshipsCollaborate with other departments such as administration and intake, to ensure seamless service delivery. Encourage and model support for those teams' requests in a timely mannerEnsure that supervisees adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements and legal regulationsStay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting clinical practiceAddress any compliance issues promptly and in collaboration with leadership and HR when necessary, this includes harassment, bullying, and other discriminatory behaviorMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of supervision sessions, including progress notes and performance evaluationsPrepare reports as needed for organizational leadershipMaintain performance documentation, including both recognition AND noncompliance/neglect leading to disciplinary action in partnership with HRWith support of HR, prepare corrective action plans when support is needed to reinforce expectationsSkillsMaster's degree or PhD/PsyD in the field of psychology, social work or counselingClinical Licensure (PhD, PsyD) required in the State of CaliforniaProven experience in clinical supervision within a healthcare or mental health settingStrong knowledge of clinical best practices, treatment modalities, and regulatory requirementsExcellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skillsPrior experience leading and managing employees and teams preferredCompany OverviewMeridian Counseling provides premium mental health services in California and Utah while accepting all major insurance plans.
