[Remote] Clinical Research Billing Specialst (Corporate)

DermCare Management is seeking a Clinical Research Billing Specialist who will report to the VP of Research and VP of Revenue Cycle Management. This role is critical for ensuring accurate and compliant billing for clinical trials, requiring collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesReview clinical trial protocols, contracts, and budgets to establish accurate billing plansEnsure all study procedures are billed correctly to the appropriate payer in compliance with coverage analysisGenerate and submit invoices to sponsors according to contract terms and billing schedulesMonitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding paymentsCollaborate with Contract Specialists and study teams to interpret clinical trial budgets and payment termsEnsure accurate setup of study budgets within internal systemsTrack study revenue against budget to identify discrepanciesEnsure billing practices comply with federal, state, and local regulationsMaintain audit-ready documentation supporting all billing activitiesAssist with internal and external auditsReconcile payments received against study milestones and invoiced amountsInvestigate and resolve billing discrepanciesPrepare financial reports related to study performanceServe as a point of contact for billing-related inquiriesProvide regular updates on billing status and collectionsCollaborate with research coordinators, finance, and leadershipSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in billing, finance, or accountingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational abilitiesEffective communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systemsFamiliarity with clinical trial processesUnderstanding of clinical research billing complianceKnowledge of budgeting, invoicing, and financial reconciliationCompany OverviewDermCare Management is a practice management company for seasoned dermatology professionals.
