They are hiring a Client Solutions Architect to support the growth and successful adoption of their water and wastewater data analytics platform, guiding customers through technical discovery and ensuring alignment between utility needs and digital solutions.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in customer meetings (virtual or in-person) to provide technical guidance and solution clarityDeliver tailored technical overviews and demonstrations focused on utility operations, data maturity, and key staff rolesCollaborate with Sales (CSMs) to develop engagement strategies based on utility stakeholder types, departmental functions, and distributor involvementLead customer meetings as needed, guiding the opportunity from technical discovery to solution alignmentAssess the utility’s system architecture (SCADA, historian, CMMS, GIS, AMI, IoT, pump monitoring, etc.) and map integration pathwaysTranslate operational challenges into clear solution architectures, workflows, and value propositionsSupport Sales (CSMs) in reviewing distributed RFPs to evaluate alignment, feasibility, and fit with platform capabilitiesAssist in the development of RFP responses including technical messaging, pricing inputs, solution diagrams, screenshots, and use case materialsCo-develop and present final selection presentations with Sales (CSMs), demonstrating operational and business valueBuild deep knowledge of the platform and explain: What the solutions are and how they create value, how they are applied in real-world customer deployments, what enhancements are planned on short- and long-term product roadmaps, how the solutions differentiate from competing digital offeringsTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for operators, engineers, managers, and executivesProvide feedback to Product and Marketing based on field insights, customer needs, and solution gapsAct as a liaison between Sales (CSMs), Product, Delivery, and Marketing teams to ensure solution alignment and consistencyInfluence messaging, positioning, and roadmap decisions by sharing utility needs and industry trendsSupport enablement efforts for internal teams, distributors, and channel partnersContribute to white papers, webinars, case studies, and conference presentationsPresent the evolving digital water story, customer outcomes, and innovative strategies to industry audiencesSupport Sales (CSMs) in preparing compelling technical content and thought leadership materialsSkillsDemonstrated ability to use critical thinking to navigate complex challenges involving both technical systems and social or organizational factorsBachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, computer science, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience3+ years of experience in water/wastewater operations, industrial automation, SCADA, or data analyticsStrong understanding of utility operations, pump systems, treatment processes, instrumentation, and data flowsExperience with technical discovery, solution design, or pre-sales engineeringAbility to communicate clearly with operators, engineers, and utility executivesExperience with CMMS, GIS, AMI/AMR, historian platforms, or IoT devicesExperience developing RFP responses and technical proposal contentFamiliarity with pump hydraulics, wet well control, collection system modeling, or treatment optimizationExperience working with OEMs, distributors, or integrators in the water sectorBenefitsBonusMedical, Dental, Vision plans401(k) with company contributionPaid time offPaid parental leaveTuition reimbursementPaid Volunteer ProgramEmployee Resource Groups (ERG)Company OverviewXylem is the global leader in advanced technologies, solutions and services that address the world’s biggest water challenges.
